After what felt like an eternal winter we had the pleasure of spending two weeks in Florida last month! We traveled a ton when the boys were growing up, but not as much since Avery was born, so this is the start of many more adventures together. Our first stop was Four Seasons Resort Orlando, and it was a little slice of heaven. We visited three different Disney Parks during our stay, but we opted for short visits with FastPasses and spent most of our time at the resort. We all had as much fun (if not more) staying put and enjoying everything Four Seasons has to offer.
We had a good amount of rain during our stay, which can be a huge disappointment when you’re on vacation, but at Four Seasons the inconvenience is minimal, and there is plenty to do while you wait out the downpours. There are umbrellas at the exit of every building and a covered outdoor game area. Kids For All Seasons is also great for a visit rain or shine. Avery wasn’t old enough to stay by herself, but while hanging out with her there I watched older kids protest getting picked up by their parents. Yay for guilt-free drop offs!
The zero entry family pool had a tiny slide that Avery went down approximately 5,000 times… it’s where we spent most of our time. The little playground on the property became part of our routine too… the perfect spot to dry out from all the swimming before heading to lunch.
The splash zone is obviously a hit with little kids, and right behind it were two giant water slides that our big boys would have loved. Going down the slides was one out of about a hundred times I wished they were with us!
Avery ran around the entire property with the pink Disney balloon for a solid two hours, and I followed with my camera because photo ops.
Many thanks to Four Seasons Resort Orlando for collaborating with us on our stay. We can’t wait to go back and bring the whole family with us!
